The Dunboyne Project, situated near the Dublin-Meath border, involved the creation of a generous 270m² house complemented by an 80m² garage. The house boasts four bedrooms, of which two include en-suites, along with a sizeable office, a lavish main bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe adjacent to a separate beauty room, an elegant private sitting room at the front of the house, and an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room at the rear — a space designed for family enjoyment.

The house’s design is a traditional bungalow with a distinctive twist: two wings at either end form a U-shaped configuration. This layout ingeniously forges a superb natural courtyard at the back, enveloped on three sides and overlooking the rear garden, integrating the indoors with the tranquility of the outdoors.

A critical aspect of this venture was the strict twelve-month construction deadline. To expedite the build, the client opted for a timber frame construction method. We collaborated closely with a timber frame specialist from the outset, refining the design alongside the client until the plans were finalised. This preemptive measure was crucial to avoiding any potential delays during construction, ensuring the project adhered to the stipulated timeframe.

The culmination of our meticulous planning and execution is a stunning family home that stands as a testament to thoughtful design and efficient project management.
